Description:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary school students in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is an in-person, school-based opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about helping students improve their communication, speech, and language skills.
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support speech and language services, implement treatment plans, and help students develop effective communication skills in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing speech and language intervention plans.
Provide speech and language support to elementary school students according to established treatment plans.
Help students develop articulation, language comprehension, expressive language, and communication skills.
Monitor student progress and document observations in accordance with established guidelines.
Prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to students' developmental and communication needs.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and other professionals to support student learning and communication goals.
Maintain accurate service documentation and follow applicable school policies and professional guidelines.
Protect student confidentiality and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Active Colorado Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or credential as required for the position.
Ability to work in person in an elementary school setting in Colorado Springs, CO.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with children and collaborate with educators and speech-language professionals.
Commitment to supporting students' speech, language, and communication development.
Start: As soon as possible
Duration: Through the end of the 2026 2027 school year
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
